Chris Kelly is an indie singer-songwriter from Northumberland. Drawing inspiration from Sam Fender, Noah Kahan, and Tom Petty, he crafts songs rooted in real life with heartfelt storytelling delivered with raw sincerity.
Chris’ debut single When it Rains broke into the top 100 of the iTunes singer-songwriter chart and earned him praise as “the flag bearer for British indie folk” by IAMUR. His debut EP The Middle of It All explored themes of heartbreak, mental health, and self-discovery, with The Crack Magazine hailing it as “a gorgeous chunk of hook-infused pop/rock” and NARC Magazine describing his sound as “Tom Petty before he fell under the spell of Jeff Lynne.”
Chris is now set to release his second record Home Movies in early 2026, with singles Another You and Lay Down Love landing in 2025. This new EP continues his emotionally resonant, guitar-driven indie folk style with a sharper focus on memory, nostalgia, and moving on.
Beyond the studio, Chris has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, captivating audiences with his intimate and powerful live performances. He has shared the stage with legendary acts like The Blockheads, as well as celebrated artists including Chris Helme (The Seahorses), Bobby Mahoney and Shayfer James.
