Anthony Gomes brings blues-rock world tour to Digital Newcastle

Anthony Gomes brings his blues-rock world tour to Digital Newcastle on Thursday 28 January 2027, with the show scheduled from 7pm until 10pm.

The Canadian guitarist, vocalist and songwriter arrives in Newcastle supporting Praise the Loud, the album behind his latest international run. The tour spans 17 countries and puts Gomes’ mix of blues foundations and hard-rock energy back at the centre of his live set.

Anthony Gomes at Digital Newcastle

Gomes has spent years building a reputation around a heavier take on modern blues, drawing from artists including Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix while pushing the sound towards full-volume rock. That balance has helped him reach the top of the Billboard Blues Chart and take his live show across multiple continents.

His career has also included dates alongside some major names. After an early introduction to B.B. King, Gomes went on to open for the blues legend and later shared stages with artists including Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Heart, Sammy Hagar and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

The Newcastle date takes place at Digital in Times Square. The venue’s official listing confirms a 7pm start and 10pm finish, with a 14+ age restriction.

Tickets are available through both Fatsoma and See Tickets. With Gomes touring behind a recent number-one blues-rock release, the Newcastle show lands as part of a substantial international run rather than a standalone UK appearance.

Anthony Gomes plays Digital Newcastle on Thursday 28 January 2027.
