Archie Brown & the Young Bucks Newcastle Gig Preview | Cluny 2

Archie Brown & the Young Bucks Newcastle return to Cluny 2 on Tuesday 22 September 2026 for the launch of their new album BUDDY, with a two-set show and several special guests joining the band.

The long-running Newcastle group remain closely tied to the North East live scene, and Bandcamp lists the band as being from Newcastle upon Tyne. This album launch puts that local connection at the centre of an intimate Ouseburn night.

The first set will focus on BUDDY, while the second expands into a full-band set drawing from the wider Young Bucks catalogue. Ian Thomson joins on double bass, Niles Krieger on violin and Tommy Stead on blues harp.

The Young Bucks have been making music together in different forms since the 1970s, blending soul, roots rock, country and rhythm and blues around Archie Brown’s vocals, saxophone and songwriting.
