Bass Jamz at NX Newcastle: Boxing Day goes late again
Boxing Day has become a natural home for Bass Jamz at NX, giving the city a seven-hour late-night session immediately after Christmas Day. The format is straightforward: a full club night built around bass-led dance music, a large room and a crowd arriving ready for one of the busiest nights of the festive period.
The previous Boxing Day edition sold out and brought OBSKÜR, Gaskin and the wider Bass Jamz crew to NX. That gives the 2026 return a useful reference point even though this year’s full line-up has not yet been announced. citeturn438728search2
The attraction is partly the timing. Boxing Day sits in the middle of the Christmas and New Year run, when club nights can easily blur together. Bass Jamz gives the date a clear identity, with a dedicated brand and a proven audience rather than simply another festive opening.
NX also suits the scale of the event. The venue can handle the production and crowd size required for a full Boxing Day session while keeping the atmosphere focused around one main room. With music running until 4am, this is a complete night rather than a short headline appearance.
For now, the official NX listing confirms the date, hours and 18+ entry requirement, with further details still to come. That makes this a useful one to put in the diary early, especially given the previous edition’s sell-out. NX’s current events archive also lists the 2026 Boxing Day Special in its club programme. citeturn438728search0
