Dave Bristow is a steadily-rising Paris-based, UK pianist and composer who has received rave reviews for his sophomore album Sides.

This is a chance to see Dave and his band up close and personal in the intimate setting and great acoustics of Cluny 2.

‘Sides’ is the brand new sophomore release of the steadily-rising Paris-based, UK pianist and composer, Dave Bristow and his quintet. A double-sided magnum opus, around 45 minutes in length, it explores the growth of an artist and his group in two recording sessions fourteen months apart, in a society fractured by post-pandemic socio-economic uncertainty and political ambiguity. The music aims to reflect the confusion of these times, through its winding and chaotic improvisations but also offers hope, structure and solace through its accessible melodies and tightly structured compositions. Featuring the talents of Christian Altehülshorst, Félix Hardouin, Gabriel Pierre, Guillaume Prévost and a bevy of world class guests such as the legendary Mike Stern, singers Caloé and Katrin-Merili Poom, Parisian guitarist Gustave Reichert and English pianist Tommy Scott, this forward-thinking oeuvre aims to leave its own unique indelible imprint on the European and international jazz scenes alike.
