iC1s Newcastle | Cluny 2 Gig Preview

iC1s Newcastle comes to Cluny 2 on Saturday 24 October 2026, bringing a band whose current chapter only exists because they chose to come back after a decade apart. Doors are at 7.30pm for the Ouseburn date.

iC1s Newcastle follows a long-delayed debut album

The Cluny 2 show comes after iC1s finally released debut album What Took You So Long? in 2025, more than a decade after the original line-up broke apart before that first album could appear. That backstory gives the Newcastle date more weight than a standard comeback gig.

The band first surfaced in 2011 with Levitate, a single recorded cheaply but strong enough to reach the UK Top 200. They went on to receive support from Alan McGee and BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, shared stages with acts including DMA’S, Carl Barât, The View and The Rifles, and had begun work on an album with producer Barny Barnicott before the group split in 2014.

iC1s returned in October 2024 with a sold-out Camden Assembly show and their first new recordings in ten years. The delayed debut followed in 2025, while 2026 has already produced two more singles, Outta Reach and That Was Then, as work continues on the follow-up.

That means this Cluny 2 date sits inside an active new phase rather than a nostalgia-only reunion. The band are not simply revisiting unfinished history; they have finally released the record that never arrived the first time and are already moving beyond it.

The smaller Cluny 2 room should suit that story. iC1s built their reputation in close, guitar-heavy spaces, and a compact Newcastle venue keeps the focus on the renewed band chemistry rather than turning the return into an oversized production.

iC1s play Cluny 2 on Saturday 24 October 2026. Doors are at 7.30pm. Check iC1s and The Cluny’s official channels before travelling for any late changes to timings, support or admission information.
