Quo Connection at Anarchy Brew Co
The band focus heavily on the early and mid-70s Status Quo sound, mixing major hits with deeper album tracks rather than simply running through a greatest-hits set. That approach has earned them approval from people closely connected with the original band, including former Status Quo drummer John Coghlan.
For long-time Quo fans, the appeal is in the detail: the twin-guitar drive, the shuffle rhythms and the stripped-back boogie sound that defined the group’s classic period. The Anarchy Brew Co show gives that material a smaller-room setting, which should suit a set built around direct, high-energy playing.
