Roni Size Reprazent bring New Forms 30th anniversary tour to NX Newcastle

Roni Size Reprazent at NX Newcastle will celebrate 30 years of New Forms on Saturday 12 June 2027, bringing the Mercury Prize-winning album back to the stage as a full live-band production.

The limited UK anniversary tour marks three decades since the Bristol collective released the record that helped push drum & bass into a much wider musical conversation. Special guests Fabio & Grooverider will join the tour, bringing two major strands of the genre’s history together on the same bill.

New Forms returns to the stage at NX Newcastle

Released in 1997, New Forms combined electronic production with live instrumentation, jazz, soul, hip hop and funk. The album went on to win the Mercury Music Prize and produced enduring tracks including Brown Paper Bag, Heroes and Watching Windows.

For the anniversary shows, Reprazent return as a full live band led by Roni Size on keys, with Dynamite MC and Onallee on vocals, Si John on bass, live drums and additional keyboards. The set is expected to draw heavily from New Forms alongside other points from the group’s catalogue.

Fabio & Grooverider add another important part of British drum & bass history to the night. From their influential Rage nights at Heaven to their work in radio and as DJs, the pair helped take jungle and drum & bass from club culture to an international audience.

The Newcastle show sits midway through a June run that also visits Bournemouth, Birmingham, London, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester and Glasgow before concluding with a Bristol hometown date.

Roni Size Reprazent play NX Newcastle on Saturday 12 June 2027. Doors are at 7pm, with Fabio & Grooverider appearing as special guests. Presale opens Wednesday 7 October at 10am, followed by general sale on Friday 9 October at 10am.
