Saturday 4 July – The Glasshouse International Centre for Music & BALTIC, Gateshead
The Glasshouse International Centre for Music partners with BALTIC for a Summer Block Party on Gateshead Quayside, offering a full day of free music, art and activity across both venues and outdoor spaces.
From morning to evening, the programme includes DJ sets from Omar Disku b2b Westy, a makers market with 20+ local artists and traders, and food and drink from vendors including Hizzy’s Pizza and Wylam Brewery. Family-friendly activities such as colouring stations and board games run throughout the day.
At BALTIC, highlights include the return of the Art Car Boot Fair with 50 stalls, two major exhibition openings, artist talks, tours and drop-in sessions, followed by a rooftop party with DJs including Leo Robin, Batesy and Burning Down The House.
Across the Quayside, there are additional pop-ups, DJs including Paula Halfpenny and co., and live performance from End Of The World.
Free and open to all, audiences can drop in throughout the day, from relaxed daytime activity to a more energetic evening atmosphere.
