Table Of Content
Running from midday until 10pm, the festival sits in the middle of a three-day sequence of music events at Cliffe Park. This Ain’t Texas Country Festival opens the weekend on Friday, before Americana Festival takes Saturday and Great Brit Live rounds things off on Sunday.
Americana takes over Saturday at Cliffe Park
A ten-hour event gives the Saturday considerably more room than a standard evening show, and the Americana billing gives it a clear musical identity of its own. It also makes Cliffe Park one of Sunderland’s places to watch over the weekend, with three different music concepts using the same outdoor setting on consecutive days.
For SoundBite, this is exactly the kind of event that can be missed if coverage only follows established gig venues. The listing was picked up through My Sunderland’s city-wide programme and is therefore included alongside SoundBite’s regular Sunderland concert listings while keeping Cliffe Park as the actual venue.
Further programme detail can be added as the organisers announce it, rather than padding the preview with names or information that have not yet been confirmed.
