Jake Foster is an indie singer-songwriter from South Tyneside whose music pairs honest storytelling with anthemic guitar arrangements and a working-class perspective. His songs explore everyday life, ambition and growing up in the North East, keeping the detail close to home while aiming for choruses that can travel much further.
Influences including Sam Fender, Jamie Webster, Noel Gallagher and Gerry Cinnamon can be heard in the emphasis on direct writing and audience connection, but Foster brings those ideas into his own South Tyneside voice. Supporting Jamie Webster in Newcastle helped introduce him to a wider local crowd before he announced his first headline show at Cluny 2 for January 2027.
That headline date marks an important change of scale, giving Foster room to build a complete set rather than make an impression within a shorter support slot. With a full band behind him, the songs can move between intimate storytelling and the bigger guitar sound that has become central to the project.
