Look Left are a Newcastle-based jazz trio working across modern jazz and fusion. Their music is built around interaction rather than excess, with the three-piece format leaving plenty of space for each player to shape the direction of a piece in real time.
In November 2026, the trio headline Pilgrim for the launch of their debut EP Protocol. The show gives the group a clear milestone in their development, moving from local appearances into a release-focused headline set built around their own material.
That combination of contemporary jazz, fusion and close ensemble playing makes Look Left part of a younger Newcastle jazz scene that is developing through smaller independent venues as much as traditional concert spaces.
