The Classic Rock Show Returns to The Glasshouse for Two Nights
The Classic Rock Show returns to The Glasshouse Gateshead for two Sage One performances on 22 and 23 January 2027.
The Classic Rock Show at The Glasshouse returns to Sage One for two nights on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January 2027, bringing three decades of rock anthems back to Gateshead with a large-scale sound and light production.
The show is built around a note-for-note approach to some of the biggest songs in classic rock, with material associated with The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, The Eagles, Dire Straits, Meat Loaf, Van Halen, The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and Fleetwood Mac among the names included in the 2027 programme.
Rather than focusing on one artist, the production moves through a broad sweep of rock history, placing familiar riffs, vocal hooks and guitar solos into a theatre-style live show. The Glasshouse describes it as a celebration of three decades of classic rock, backed by a multi-million-dollar sound and lighting setup and ending with a show-stopping guitar duel.
The Classic Rock Show has become a regular part of The Glasshouse calendar, with the 2027 return following previous January runs at the venue. The format is designed for audiences who want the songs presented as close to the original recordings as possible while still keeping the energy of a live concert.
Both performances take place in Sage One and start at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced from £47 to £52.60 and availability is already limited. Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, while full stage timings will be announced nearer the shows.
Tickets and the latest event information are available from The Glasshouse official event page. You can also see more upcoming shows on the SoundBite Glasshouse venue page. Event details can change, so check the venue’s official channels before travelling.
