CVC bring Winter UK Tour to The Grove Newcastle

Welsh six-piece CVC will return to Newcastle on Saturday 5 December 2026, bringing their Winter UK Tour to The Grove.

Short for Church Village Collective, CVC are a six-piece from Church Village in South Wales whose sound draws heavily on vintage psych-pop and retro rock. Their live reputation has become a major part of the band’s appeal, with tightly worked vocal harmonies, guitar interplay and the kind of loose, energetic feel that makes considerably more sense on a stage than it ever could on paper.

CVC bring their Winter UK Tour to The Grove

The Newcastle show forms part of CVC’s winter run and follows the arrival of new single Silver Blues. It gives the band another chance to bring their increasingly substantial catalogue into an intimate venue, with The Grove offering a very different setting from the larger festival stages and rooms they have encountered as their audience has grown.

CVC’s music takes plenty from the sounds of previous decades without simply sitting in revivalist territory. Psychedelic textures, melodic rock and big multi-part harmonies run through their material, but the band’s live shows add a harder edge and a sense of spontaneity that has helped them build a reputation well beyond their Welsh roots.

The Grove date should put that live side of CVC front and centre. With the band operating at close quarters and special guests still to be announced, it has the makings of one of the more intimate stops on the winter tour.

CVC play The Grove, Newcastle on Saturday 5 December 2026. Tickets are £17.50 face value plus fees. Artist presale opens at 10am on Wednesday 7 October through CVC’s official Linktree, before general sale at 10am on Friday 9 October through Notion Tickets and Shin Gigs.
