Jake Bugg is heading to Newcastle for an intimate acoustic performance and album signing at HMV on Friday 20 November 2026. The appearance is part of a 20-date UK record-store run celebrating his seventh album, Alamo, which arrives on 13 November through Thirty Tigers.

Jake Bugg brings the Alamo record-store tour to Newcastle
The Newcastle event starts at 5pm, with Bugg playing a short live set before meeting fans and signing copies of the new record. HMV says fans can secure guaranteed access by pre-ordering an album-and-entry bundle, subject to availability. Bundles include a wristband for entry, which fans collect alongside their album at the store on the day.
There may also be an opportunity to buy the album in-store and attend if capacity allows. However, HMV will confirm any additional availability through its social channels, so booking ahead is the safer option for anyone planning to go.

A new album and a return to his roots
Alamo is Bugg’s seventh studio album. He recorded the 11-track release with producers Jimmy Hogarth and Steve McEwan, bringing his songwriting back towards folk and country influences. The album follows a run of live shows that included a headline appearance at Musicians Corner in Nashville’s Centennial Park during Americana Fest.
Across the record-store run, fans will see different combinations of acoustic sets, question-and-answer sessions and signings. Newcastle’s HMV date is billed specifically as an acoustic performance and signing rather than a Q&A. The tour also visits Nottingham, Leeds, Carlisle, Edinburgh and Dundee, among other cities.
Jake Bugg returns to Gateshead in February 2027
Fans who want a full concert can also catch Bugg at The Glasshouse in Gateshead on Wednesday 17 February 2027. The show forms part of his stripped-back UK and European solo tour, which opens in Manchester on 6 February and includes two nights at London’s Union Chapel later that month.
