Jasper Lo Returns to Newcastle for Homecoming Gig with Etania Imas
Jasper Lo plays a homecoming gig with Etania Imas at The Globe Newcastle on 25 September 2026. Find official ticket and event details.

North East musician Jasper Lo returns to Newcastle for The Homecoming gig at The Globe on Friday 25 September 2026, with Etania Imas also on the bill. The show is advertised for 7pm, and advance tickets cost £5 plus a booking fee. It comes at a significant moment for Lo, who is beginning his studies at The Purcell School in September following a busy period performing in classical music, jazz and musical theatre.
Lo’s musical range makes this a different proposition from a typical singer-songwriter homecoming. He has served as principal viola with Young Sinfonia at The Glasshouse between 2024 and 2026, the Tees Valley Youth Orchestra from 2025 to 2026, and the English Schools Orchestra in 2025. Earlier in 2026, he also took first prize at the inaugural North East Piano Festival. Those achievements show how much of his musical life has been spent moving between instruments and styles, rather than pursuing just one kind of performance.
Alongside that classical work, Lo is a member of NEMO Groove Orchestra. The group appeared as guests during Ezra Collective’s set at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2026 and performed at Joe McElderry’s Something in the Water. Lo has also been involved with National Youth Music Theatre in 2025 and 2026, playing keyboard in the European premiere of Tuck Everlasting and viola in the premiere of the new musical Every Day. The Globe date therefore follows a run of performances that have taken him well beyond one local music scene.
For Newcastle audiences, the homecoming angle is especially relevant. Lo has performed at the city’s Lit & Phil and has previously played sold-out shows with bands, including his own headline gig. Returning to a city where he has already performed gives this evening a personal context as well as the chance to hear his current music. Etania Imas is also advertised on the bill; the venue has not published individual set times or a detailed description of their performance, so arrive for the advertised start if you want to catch both acts.
The Globe operates unreserved seating and keeps ticket-holders’ names at the door rather than sending out physical tickets. Advance admission is £5 plus the booking fee. Check availability and the latest show details at The Globe’s official Jasper Lo Homecoming gig ticket page before travelling.
