KMP Quintal Brings Kizomba and Semba to The Globe on 1 October
KMP Quintal brings a kizomba and semba dance social with DJ Tó Correia to The Globe, Newcastle on 1 October 2026. Entry details and official event link.

KMP Quintal takes over The Globe in Newcastle on Thursday 1 October 2026 for an evening built around kizomba, semba and Afro-influenced dance music. The session runs from 7pm until midnight, with DJ Tó Correia handling the music. Rather than a club night arranged around a string of competing headline sets, this is a social event focused on the relationship between the music and the people on the dance floor.
The name Quintal is inspired by traditional backyard gatherings in Angola. In this context, it means a place where people can spend an evening together, dance, talk and share music without the formality of a class or a staged performance. That distinction matters when deciding whether the event is for you: the organiser explicitly says there will be no dance classes, and the Thursday night is intended as a welcoming social for people who simply want to enjoy the music.
Kizomba and semba are the main musical styles named for the night, with a broader Afro-vibes selection alongside them. DJ Tó Correia is the announced DJ; no individual set times or additional performers have been advertised. With music running across a five-hour window, visitors can arrive at the start or make an evening of it. The event is about dancing rather than watching a concert from a seat, so it is different from The Globe’s usual band and jazz bookings.
Advance admission costs £6, while entry on the door is £8. The organiser asks guests to arrange advance payment using the options on the official event page and to include their name as the reference. Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to someone else by contacting the organiser. Photos and videos may be taken during the evening; guests who would rather not appear in them are asked to tell the organiser. The event runs until midnight, so check your journey home if you plan to stay for the full session.
Check the latest entry arrangements and any changes to the advertised programme on The Globe’s official KMP Quintal listing for 1 October before travelling. The event is scheduled for Thursday 1 October at The Globe, with music from 7pm until midnight.
