Mike + The Mechanics at The Glasshouse will bring the band’s Back On Track Tour to Gateshead on Sunday 13 June 2027. The group, led by Genesis guitarist Mike Rutherford, will play Sage One, with the concert advertised for 7.30pm. It is a return to a room the band have visited before, this time as part of a fresh run marking more than four decades since Rutherford first formed the project.

The Glasshouse lists tickets from £63.90 to £80.80, with general sale opening on Friday 25 September 2026 at 9am. The show is seated, and under-14s must be accompanied by an adult. The venue will announce more detailed stage times nearer the date.

Rutherford began Mike + The Mechanics in 1985 while still performing with Genesis. The band’s catalogue includes The Living Years, All I Need Is a Miracle and Over My Shoulder, songs that have remained central to their live shows across successive line-ups. Their return to Sage One offers a chance to hear that material in one of the region’s larger seated concert spaces.
The current touring group includes vocalists Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar, with Luke Juby and Anthony Drennan alongside Rutherford. Drummer Nic Collins joined the touring line-up in 2023.
