Freight Island’s official listing places the event firmly inside its weekend music schedule, with the venue opening earlier in the day and the Oktoberfest programme running into the early hours. The combination of a host, live or collective performance and DJ set gives the date more structure than a standard venue session.
The 3 October event is one of two Oktoberfest dates currently shown by Freight Island Newcastle, with the following weekend carrying a different music line-up. That means this first Saturday has its own identity, centred on Stacey Rhect, Electric Collective and DJ Liam West.
Tickets are being handled through Weezevent. Freight Island also states that entry remains subject to venue capacity and that no re-entry is allowed once guests have left. The venue is cashless, so visitors should bring a card or use contactless payment.
