The Glasshouse is closing out the Summer Mix Tape season with not one but two silent discos, giving families and grown-ups alike the chance to take over the dancefloor from lunchtime through to golden hour. Part of the Summer Mix Tape programme, both events are designed around three music channels, allowing everyone to tune into their perfect soundtrack.

Kicking things off at midday, Silent Disco: Little Groovers invites children aged 0–8 and their grown-ups onto a dancefloor filled with bubbles, glow sticks and family-friendly anthems. Little ones can bounce between family favourites and chart hits, while adults enjoy a dose of nostalgia. It’s bright, energetic and the perfect end-of-summer family party.

Then, from 4pm, the End of Summer Silent Disco takes over. Expect three channels packed with everything from 80s synth gold and 90s throwbacks to chart favourites and party classics. One minute you’re belting out Don’t You Want Me, the next you’re knee-deep in Mr Brightside. It’s chaotic, hilarious and surprisingly uplifting.

With stunning views across the Tyne, a glowing dancefloor and music for every mood, it’s the ultimate August Bank Holiday celebration and the perfect way to say goodbye to summer.

12pm | £15 adult, £10 child (ages 1–8), under 1s free
Suitable for children aged 0–8. Adults must be accompanied by children. Children’s tickets are reduced as part of the Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.

End of Summer Silent Disco
4pm–8pm | £20
Under 14s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
