Sleeper announce End of the World Tour with Newcastle date at Digital
Sleeper will bring their End of the World Tour to Digital Newcastle in March 2027, joined by special guests Turin Brakes.
Sleeper are heading back to Newcastle in 2027, with the band bringing their End of the World Tour to Digital on Friday 19 March.
The newly announced run is Sleeper’s biggest UK tour since reforming and will take them across the country through March and April, with Turin Brakes joining as special guests.
The tour arrives just over a month after the release of Sleeper’s sixth studio album, End of the World, which is due on 12 February 2027. Its title track is out now and gives the first taste of a record that finds Louise Wener and the band moving into a more personal chapter while keeping the big melodies and choruses that have long been part of Sleeper’s sound.
Sleeper return to Newcastle with Turin Brakes
For North East fans, the important date is Friday 19 March 2027 at Digital Newcastle, where Sleeper will be joined by South London four-piece Turin Brakes.
“I’m really looking forward to taking this album out on the road,” says Louise Wener. “These new songs mean a lot to me, and I think they’re going to sound fantastic live. There’s something wonderful about finally playing them in a room with people and making that emotional connection with a crowd. We’re so excited that Turin Brakes are joining us – we’ve been fans for a long time, so it’s going to be a special combination.”
Written and recorded between Paris and Manchester, End of the World was produced by Joe Cross, whose credits include The Courteeners, Hurts, Louis Tomlinson and The Slow Readers Club. Across ten songs, the album moves through grief, regret, loneliness, heartbreak and renewal.

Turin Brakes arrive with a substantial catalogue of their own. Their tenth studio album, Spacehopper, was released in 2025, following a career that has included the Mercury Prize-nominated The Optimist LP, Top 5 album Ether Song and seven UK Top 40 singles.
Sleeper originally emerged in the mid-1990s, scoring eight Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums before splitting in 1998. They re-formed in 2017 and released comeback album The Modern Age two years later.
