Stanleys bring new music to KU Stockton
The group — Tom Concannon, Jake Dorsman, Harry Ivory and Rob Hilton — have been sharpening their guitar-led sound across singles including Pass The Time and Never Like You. It’s Not Over pushes further in that direction, with melodic guitars, an insistent groove and lyrics about individuality and resisting pressure to fit in.
The track was recorded at The Lounge in Wigan with producer Gareth Nuttall and marks another step towards the band’s planned debut album in 2027. For audiences in Stockton, this headline date offers the chance to hear how that new material works alongside the songs that have helped Stanleys develop their reputation as a live band.
The four-piece have already shared stages with Richard Ashcroft, The Libertines, The Lathums, Jamie Webster and Inspiral Carpets, as well as appearing at Glastonbury’s Strummerville. Their growing confidence and melodic songwriting should be well suited to the intimate KU setting.
