The Cases bring Mr Penny momentum to Independent Sunderland
The Cases play Independent Sunderland on 29 November 2026 with The Outcharms, Kiwi and Danny Griffiths. Ticket links and show details here.

The Cases at Independent Sunderland brings the Preston indie band to Holmeside on Sunday 29 November 2026, with The Outcharms, Kiwi and Danny Griffiths joining the bill.
The Cases have been building momentum through a run of headline shows, festival appearances and radio support, with BBC Introducing, Radio X and Amazing Radio among the outlets to have backed them. Their debut EP Mr Penny arrived earlier this year, giving the Sunderland date a little more weight than a routine stop on the road as the band continue to push beyond their early word-of-mouth following.
The support bill should make this a strong night for anyone following newer guitar music too. The Outcharms bring their own growing reputation on the indie circuit, while Kiwi and Danny Griffiths complete a four-act line-up on the current event artwork. It gives the show a proper showcase feel rather than simply dropping one support act in before the headliner.
Independent lists doors at 7pm on Sunday 29 November, with the event running until 10:30pm. The show is all ages, although under-14s must be accompanied by an adult. The venue is just off Sunderland city centre, close to the train station and main bus interchange.
Tickets are available through the official Independent Sunderland event page, which links directly through to the event’s ticketing page. You can also buy tickets through Fatsoma. At the time of writing, Fatsoma lists general admission at £14 plus a £1.40 booking fee.
With The Cases arriving on the back of Mr Penny and a busy year of live dates, this looks like one of Independent’s more interesting late-autumn indie bills. Check the venue and ticketing pages before travelling for any late changes to timings, availability or the line-up.
