The Script return to Newcastle on Thursday 5 November 2026 for a headline show at Utilita Arena, with new album The User’s Guide To Being Human adding another chapter to a catalogue built for rooms of this size.

The album has already continued The Script’s long run of chart success, reaching number one in Ireland and number three in the UK. Their latest single, Scars Align, pushes that new era forward with the kind of large-scale chorus and driving momentum that should translate naturally to an arena show.
The Script bring their new era to Newcastle
Scars Align was written by Danny O’Donoghue with Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner and Jimbo Barry, collaborators whose previous links with the band stretch across songs including Breakeven, The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, Hall of Fame and Superheroes. The new track turns towards a more personal subject, drawing on O’Donoghue’s relationship with his wife while also carrying a subtle lyrical nod to late bandmate Mark Sheehan.
It gives the Newcastle date fresh context. Rather than simply returning with a familiar greatest-hits set, The Script arrive with an eighth studio album to work into a show that can still draw on more than a decade and a half of established material. Songs such as Breakeven, Hall of Fame and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved have long provided the big communal moments, while the newer material gives the current tour its own identity.
James Morrison will join The Script as special guest in Newcastle, adding another established UK singer-songwriter to the arena bill.
The Newcastle performance forms part of the Ireland, UK and European leg of the band’s world arena tour, which starts in Dublin before moving through Belfast and then to Tyneside. Further dates include Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Sheffield, Cardiff, Liverpool and London before the tour continues into mainland Europe.
