KEO bring Put A Smile On For Me tour to NX Newcastle

KEO return to Newcastle on Saturday 6 March 2027, stepping up to NX as their next UK tour follows the release of debut album Put A Smile On For Me.

The Newcastle date comes with KEO moving quickly into larger rooms after a breakthrough period for the band. Put A Smile On For Me debuted at number two on the Official UK Albums Chart, giving the four-piece a significant platform for the run of shows that follows.

The album captures the contrast that has helped shape KEO’s sound: heavy, grunge-leaning guitars sit alongside hazier shoegaze textures, while the songs retain the emotional directness that has been central to the band’s rise. That combination should make NX a particularly fitting setting for the new material, allowing the quieter tension and bigger guitar-driven sections room to land.

For Newcastle audiences, the March show also offers a chance to see how the album has developed on stage after KEO’s earlier 2026 appearance at Boiler Shop. Rather than arriving ahead of a record, the band will now have a full debut album to draw from as they build the set around this next chapter.

The tour announcement follows a strong chart start for Put A Smile On For Me, but the Newcastle date should be about more than that number. KEO have built much of their reputation through live performances, and the move to NX gives them a considerably bigger canvas for songs designed to shift between intimacy, distortion and release.
