Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks bring YES epics, classics and more to The Glasshouse Gateshead on 1 October 2026.
Jon Anderson returns to Gateshead with The Band Geeks on Thursday 1 October 2026 for a Sage One show built around YES epics, classics and more. The former YES frontman brings one of progressive rock’s most recognisable voices back to The Glasshouse, with the current tour drawing on the catalogue that helped define his career.

Anderson’s work with YES produced songs including “Roundabout”, “I’ve Seen All Good People” and “Owner of a Lonely Heart”, alongside the longer-form pieces that became central to the band’s identity. The Band Geeks, meanwhile, built a strong online following through detailed recreations of classic rock material before developing into Anderson’s touring band.

The combination should suit Sage One particularly well because the room can carry the scale of the arrangements without sacrificing detail. For long-time YES listeners, the draw is hearing that material sung by the voice most closely associated with it, while newer fans get a live route into some of progressive rock’s best-known songs.
The Glasshouse currently lists the show as returns only, underlining the demand around the date. That makes this one of the bigger October bookings at the venue and a strong opening to a month packed with very different styles of live music.
