The Blow Monkeys at The Glasshouse | Gateshead Preview
The Blow Monkeys play The Glasshouse Gateshead on 7 October 2026 with special guest Pete Williams in Sage Two.
The Blow Monkeys bring their latest tour to The Glasshouse in Gateshead on Wednesday 7 October 2026, with special guest Pete Williams joining them in Sage Two. The band arrive on the back of their 13th studio album Birdsong, adding new material to a set that can also draw on more than four decades of pop, soul and alternative songwriting.

Tracks such as “Digging Your Scene” and “It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way” remain central to the group’s history, but their continued recording gives the live show more than a purely nostalgic angle. That balance between familiar songs and newer material should suit Sage Two, where the audience is close enough for the band’s more soulful side to come through clearly.

Pete Williams adds another layer to the evening as support, bringing songs from his own catalogue after a career that has included Dexys Midnight Runners and The Bureau. His appearance should give the night a coherent feel rather than functioning as an unrelated opening slot.
The Glasshouse lists the show at 8pm, with tickets currently priced from £30.10 to £35.20. Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, while stage times beyond the advertised start are due to be announced nearer the date.
