Roscoe Piano Trio at The Glasshouse | Gig Preview

Roscoe Piano Trio come to Sage Two at The Glasshouse on Saturday 10 October 2026 with a programme spanning Mozart, Rebecca Clarke and Tchaikovsky. The concert forms part of the Newcastle International Chamber Music Series and brings together three very different approaches to the piano trio across a two-hour evening.

Mozart’s Piano Trio in G opens the programme with a lighter classical balance before Rebecca Clarke’s trio moves into denser and more introspective territory. Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor then gives the concert a much larger emotional scale, bringing lyricism and drama into the closing section.

Sage Two is well suited to chamber music because the room keeps the individual lines of piano, violin and cello close to the audience. That should help the contrast between the three composers come through clearly, especially in a programme where texture and ensemble interaction are central.
