Alison Moyet at The Glasshouse | Gateshead Gig Preview
Alison Moyet brings a Yazoo and electronica-focused set to The Glasshouse Gateshead on 15 October 2026.
Alison Moyet returns to The Glasshouse on Thursday 15 October 2026 with a Sage One set focused on the music of Yazoo alongside selected tracks from her solo electronica albums the minutes and Other. The Gateshead date offers a more tightly themed show than a conventional greatest-hits tour, giving Moyet room to revisit material that has rarely appeared together on stage.

Yazoo’s original run was brief but hugely influential, with Upstairs at Eric’s and You and Me Both helping define an early synth-pop sound that still feels distinctive decades later. Moyet’s later solo records brought her back towards electronic production too, so the current tour links those different periods without forcing them into a straight chronology.

Sage One should suit the scale of the production, particularly if the arrangements move between stripped electronic textures and the larger moments in the Yazoo catalogue. Moyet’s voice remains the centre of gravity, but the appeal of this tour lies in hearing it placed against a more specific sonic backdrop than a standard career-spanning set.
The Gateshead show is already listed as returns only, which reflects the demand around a tour built on material that fans have not often had the chance to hear live. That scarcity gives the date a stronger sense of occasion and makes it one of October’s biggest pop bookings at the venue.
