Westside Cowboy Bring 2026 Tour to Newcastle University
Westside Cowboy bring their 2026 tour to Newcastle University Students’ Union on 25 November. Gig preview and ticket details.

Westside Cowboy Newcastle University is set for Wednesday 25 November 2026, with the Manchester four-piece heading to Newcastle University Students’ Union as part of their 2026 UK and European touring schedule.
The band have built a reputation around a raw meeting point between indie rock, country influences and scrappy guitar music. Their Newcastle stop gives North East audiences another chance to catch that sound in the relatively intimate surroundings of the Students’ Union venue.
Westside Cowboy Newcastle University date
The Newcastle show takes place at Newcastle University Students’ Union on Wednesday 25 November, with doors listed for 7pm. The date forms part of a wider run that also takes Westside Cowboy through Glasgow, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and London.
That touring schedule should make the Newcastle night an interesting point in the run. Rather than arriving as a one-off appearance, the band will be in the middle of a concentrated stretch of shows, bringing a set that has had plenty of opportunity to settle into its live shape.
Westside Cowboy have attracted attention for music that feels deliberately rough around the edges. There’s melody in the mix, but the appeal comes just as much from the looseness and energy of the band playing together. Newcastle University Students’ Union should suit that approach, with the room capable of putting the audience close to the action without losing the impact of a full-band performance.
The date also lands during a particularly busy autumn period for the Students’ Union, which has a run of touring artists and alternative shows across October and November. For anyone following newer UK guitar music, Westside Cowboy are another worthwhile addition to that calendar.
