Après-Ski Party Brings an Alpine Night to Silksworth Ski Centre

Après-Ski Party comes to Silksworth Ski Centre on Friday 23 October 2026, bringing an alpine-themed evening of music and entertainment to Sunderland.

Starting at 5pm, the event turns one of Sunderland’s more unusual event settings into an après-ski party for the evening. It is the sort of city-wide event that sits slightly outside the usual gig circuit, but that is exactly what makes it worth picking out: live music and entertainment in a setting built around the ski-centre theme rather than a conventional concert room.

Music at Silksworth Ski Centre

Silksworth Ski Centre gives the night an obvious identity before the entertainment even starts. Rather than trying to recreate an alpine setting inside a standard venue, the event already has the slopes as its backdrop, giving Sunderland a different option for an October night out.

For SoundBite readers, the appeal is the change of scenery. Sunderland has a busy run of conventional venue shows through the autumn, while Après-Ski Party offers something more event-led: a themed evening where the atmosphere and location are as important as the programme itself.

The event has been listed through My Sunderland, the city-wide events service SoundBite also uses to discover music taking place beyond the regular venue calendars. As with all listings picked up this way, the event remains attached to its actual location rather than being treated as taking place at “My Sunderland”.
