Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol in Concert Live to Film

The Muppet Christmas Carol is finally getting the full live-concert treatment at The Glasshouse, with two Sage One performances on Tuesday 22 December.

The much-loved Muppet take on Dickens’ Christmas story will play on the big screen while the score is performed live, giving one of the season’s most rewatchable films a properly big outing just three days before Christmas.

The Muppets take over Sage One

There are Christmas films people like, and then there are Christmas films people will defend with alarming seriousness. The Muppet Christmas Carol is firmly in the second category.

That makes its first live-to-film appearance at The Glasshouse a particularly easy sell. The film already balances comedy, warmth and some genuinely lovely music, so putting that score into a concert hall should add to it without losing what people love about the original.

There are performances at 2pm and 7.30pm, which gives families and evening audiences separate options. It also arrives in the middle of The Glasshouse’s strongest run of festive film events, following Home Alone 2 and immediately before The Snowman in Concert.

If this film is already part of your Christmas routine, seeing it in Sage One should make 2026’s viewing a little harder to top next year.
