Queen Symphonic Brings Queen’s Biggest Songs to The Glasshouse

Queen Symphonic at The Glasshouse brings the music of Queen to Sage One on Wednesday 4 November 2026, with Royal Northern Sinfonia joined by conductor Matthew Freeman and The Symphonic Voices for a full-scale orchestral celebration of the band’s catalogue.

The concert is part of The Glasshouse’s Classical 26/27 season and its Lights, camera, orchestra! strand, but this one leans firmly into rock spectacle. Rather than simply placing familiar songs over a string section, the programme has been built around the scale and drama of Queen’s music, with orchestra, voices and rhythm working together across some of the band’s best-known material.

The Glasshouse has confirmed that the programme will include Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, I Want To Break Free and The Show Must Go On, alongside further songs from across Queen’s career. With Royal Northern Sinfonia in Sage One, the arrangements should have plenty of room to open up, particularly on material that was already written with theatrical dynamics, layered harmonies and big shifts in mood.

Matthew Freeman conducts the performance, with The Symphonic Voices adding the choral weight needed for some of Queen’s most recognisable vocal moments. Royal Northern Sinfonia, the resident orchestra at The Glasshouse, completes the line-up. It makes this less a tribute-show setup and more an orchestral concert built around the music itself.

The performance starts at 7.30pm and is listed to run for around two hours, including a 20-minute interval. Tickets are priced from £38 to £55, with availability already limited. Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult.
