Ruby Rae’s XL Brings Six-Act Indoor Country Festival to Newcastle
Ruby Rae’s XL brings six country tribute acts, line dancing and Nashville-style entertainment to EVNT Live – Times Square, Newcastle, on 23 October 2026.
Ruby Rae’s XL is heading to Times Square in Newcastle on Friday 23 October 2026, bringing a new indoor country music festival to the city. The event runs from 5pm until 11pm, with space for 1,500 fans in a specially created marquee.
The six-act tribute bill brings together The Ella Langley Experience, Zachbryanuktribute, The Lainey Wilson Experience Tribute and Almostwallen, each with their touring bands. Tia Dodds will perform as Shania Twain, while Jo Fry takes on the songs of Dolly Parton.
Ruby Rae’s XL brings a taste of Nashville to Newcastle
Alongside the live music, visitors can expect line dancing, Nashville-inspired décor, country merchandise, drinks and Tennessee-style BBQ food. The festival expands on the live country music nights hosted by Ruby Rae’s, which also opened a York bar this summer.
Ruby Rae’s founders Dean Saunders and Dan Cooke have teamed up with EVNT Inspirations, whose co-director Nigel Holliday and team are producing the Times Square event. Saunders said the idea was to create a larger version of the country music experience the bar puts on each week in Newcastle.
Holliday said the collaboration combines the Times Square site with Ruby Rae’s country music community, adding that he is looking forward to seeing 1,500 people line dancing together in the marquee.
Ruby Rae’s XL takes place at Times Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4EP, on Friday 23 October, from 5pm to 11pm. Tickets are available now. The ticket listing specifies 18+ and last entry at 8pm.
