| The Script fired up an exciting new start when they announced the August 14th release of their new album ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’. The record’s lead single ‘Man In The Arena’ was received strongly by both fans and media alike and was A listed by Radio 2. The Script now keep that upbeat impetus flying as they share the new single ‘The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall’. Both songs show that The Script are primed to continue their phenomenal success, which has seen them land numerous #1 albums (six in the UK, eight in Ireland), two US Top 10 albums, 14 billion streams and 5 million sales. ‘The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall’ fuses The Script’s gift for larger-than-life, stadium-filling singalong choruses and the anthemic swagger of indie-rock. The song is a towering ode to nostalgia as a superpower, about the fraying and re-braiding of lifelong friendships. It was inspired by the stadium-sized communal joy that gripped the world last year during Oasis’s Live ’25 tour. The lyrics reference friends that fell out in 1993 and by chance bump into each other at the Oasis reunion gigs, 30+ years later. Listen HERE. Watch the video HERE. Danny O’Donoghue says, “I’m a huge Oasis fan. Always have been. But I don’t think Liam and Noel knew the full impact of what they were doing when they got back together. Because a lot of their fanbase, they’re lads, middle-aged guys, and a lot of them have a similar scenario where they’re not talking to a brother or a friend, and they’re trying to be a man’s man about it. The Gallaghers reuniting put into the zeitgeist the idea that forgiveness is cool again. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I saw them walking out with their hands together. If two of the most notorious people for being at loggerheads can overcome their differences, anything’s possible!” ‘The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall’ and ‘Man In The Arena’ both feature on ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’. Recorded in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles, the album saw Danny O’Donoghue reunite with Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner and Jimbo Barry, whose collective previous credits include The Script’s hits ‘Hall Of Fame’, ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ and ‘Breakeven’. ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’ is available to pre-order / pre-save HERE. It is available on CD and limited transparent vinyl while the official artist store also stocks exclusive merch bundles and a cassette.
