BBC Introducing From The Glasshouse | Gig Preview
BBC Introducing From The Glasshouse, curated by Jazz North East, comes to Gateshead on 30 September 2026 with three emerging acts.
BBC Introducing From The Glasshouse returns on Wednesday 30 September 2026 with a Jazz North East-curated night bringing three emerging projects into Sage Two. New Ways of Moving in the Counterworlds, Manon McCoy and Juliana Day, and Helen Anahita Wilson share the bill, giving the evening a strong experimental and regional focus within the wider autumn jazz programme.

The format gives newer artists a prominent platform without forcing the night into one narrow version of jazz. Each act approaches the music differently, so the appeal lies as much in discovery as it does in seeing a conventional headline-and-support bill.
BBC Introducing curated by Jazz North East
Jazz North East has played a long-running role in supporting adventurous music across the region, and that makes its involvement especially significant here. The programme should give local audiences the chance to hear artists who sit between jazz, improvisation, electronics and more experimental composition in a setting designed for close listening.
The pay-what-you-decide format also makes this one of the most accessible dates in the season. Rather than asking audiences to already know the artists, the night is structured around curiosity, giving listeners room to encounter three different projects in one sitting.
