Stewart Lee at The Glasshouse | Gateshead Preview

Stewart Lee joins Steve Beresford, Tania Chen and Mariam Rezaei at The Glasshouse in Gateshead on Monday 26 October 2026 for Indeterminacy & Pea Green Boat, a two-part performance sitting somewhere between spoken word, improvisation and experimental music. The first half sees Lee reading stories by John Cage in a randomised sequence while Beresford and Chen improvise around him. That structure means the performance is shaped in real time, with the relationship between spoken text and music changing from one moment to the next.
