Jake Bugg Brings His Stripped-Back 2027 Tour to The Glasshouse

Jake Bugg at The Glasshouse in Gateshead on Wednesday 17 February 2027 brings his songwriting into a more intimate setting after years of larger tours, festival stages and full-band dates. The Sage One concert starts at 7pm and forms part of a stripped-back 2027 run built around Bugg performing with little more than his voice, guitar and the songs that have carried him from his teenage breakthrough to a seventh studio album.

The timing of the tour gives the Gateshead date a clear focus. Bugg releases Alamo in November 2026, and the new record sees him lean back towards the folk, country and roots influences that have always sat underneath the sharper edges of his catalogue. That makes a solo-format show a natural fit, with the newer material sitting alongside songs from across a career that began with his chart-topping self-titled debut.

Rather than building the night around a large production, this concert puts the writing at the centre. Bugg has spent close to 15 years moving between acoustic storytelling, indie rock and rootsier material, so the stripped-back setup should give older songs and newer tracks room to land differently from their recorded versions. Alamo also arrives with a more folk-leaning character, which gives this tour its own identity rather than feeling like another standard pass through the back catalogue.

The Glasshouse date is in Sage One and is fully seated, with tickets starting from £35.20. Support is included on the billing, although the supporting artist has not yet been named. Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, while stage times beyond the advertised 7pm start are still to be confirmed closer to the show.
