Copperhead bring an earlier dose of classic rock to The Point Sunderland on Saturday 28 November, with the four-piece live at 4:30pm. The band’s set is rooted in the heavier side of rock, with Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Rainbow, Gary Moore and Van Halen all sitting comfortably in the same songbook.
Table Of Content
The song choices point towards a band that likes big riffs and recognisable guitar parts. Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore bring a strong Irish-rock thread, while AC/DC, Van Halen and Metallica push the set harder. Whitesnake and Rainbow sit neatly between those extremes.

The wider material also reaches into The Cult, Nirvana, Eagles and Steve Earle, giving the band room to step away from straight heavy rock and change the texture of the set when needed.
The 4:30pm stage time makes this one particularly useful for anyone who wants live music without giving up the entire evening. It is an afternoon performance, so regular Live Lounge visitors should not assume the usual later Friday or Saturday timing.
An afternoon rock set
Entry is free. With classic rock at the centre and a set that reaches from hard rock into bluesier and alternative material, Copperhead should suit anyone who wants a proper guitar-led Saturday without waiting until late evening.
Check The Point’s official event listing before travelling for any updated timing information. More dates are on SoundBite North East’s The Point Sunderland page, with other North East gigs in the Upcoming Gigs guide.
