Lightning Seeds will bring their Greatest Hits Tour to Newcastle on Saturday 27 November 2027, with Ian Broudie and the band heading to Northumbria Students’ Union for a night drawn from across their catalogue.

The Newcastle date is part of an 18-show UK run following their sold-out 2024 tour. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 30 October 2026, giving North East fans an early chance to plan for next autumn’s headline show.
Lightning Seeds Newcastle show brings the hits to Northumbria
The tour announcement names ‘Pure’, ‘The Life Of Riley’, ‘Change’, ‘Lucky You’, ‘Sense’, ‘Sugar Coated Iceberg’ and ‘You Showed Me’ among the songs fans can expect. For anyone whose introduction came through one of those singles, the greatest hits format offers a chance to hear it alongside the wider run of songs Broudie has written over the years.
Formed in Liverpool by Broudie, Lightning Seeds have sold more than eight million albums, according to the announcement. Their 35th anniversary celebrations in 2024 included the release of the 20-track collection Tomorrow’s Here Today: 35 Years of Lightning Seeds, a UK tour and outdoor and festival appearances.
The new dates continue that look back through the band’s work, putting the songs at the centre of a full headline run. Newcastle falls at the end of the November leg, following Sheffield and before the tour resumes in Hull in December.

Tour dates and Newcastle tickets
The tour opens at Holmfirth Picturedrome on Thursday 4 November 2027 and finishes at Eastbourne Winter Gardens on Saturday 18 December. Other stops include Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Manchester Albert Hall, Nottingham Rock City, Glasgow Barrowland and London Roundhouse.
