Roger Taylor Newcastle is set for O2 City Hall on Monday 21 September 2026, opening the Queen drummer, songwriter and singer’s only UK tour of the year just days after the release of his new solo album Violence Insane In A Beautiful World.

The Newcastle show starts a six-date run that continues through Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Swansea. Doors open at 6:30pm, with the show due to begin at 7:30pm and Freddie Lennox listed as support.

Roger Taylor has balanced his work with Queen with a solo career stretching back to the 1970s. His latest record, Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, is his seventh solo album and his first since 2021’s Outsider.

The album is released on 18 September through Columbia, three days before the Newcastle date. Taylor produced the record with Joshua J. Macrae, while the Ndlovu Youth Choir features on both the opening track and “Come On Summer (It’s Party Time)”.

Violence Insane In A Beautiful World tour

The September run is being billed as Taylor’s only UK tour of 2026, making Newcastle the first chance to see this new chapter live. The album’s title reflects a record concerned with the contrast between the beauty of the world and the violence, conflict and environmental damage around it, while still leaving room for lighter moments.

Freddie Lennox joins the O2 City Hall date as support, adding another name to a night centred on Taylor’s new solo material and a career that reaches far beyond his work behind the Queen drum kit.
