Adam Henderson at REDS Bar brings a Newcastle headline show to Northumbria Students’ Union on Friday 11 September. Meanwhile, fellow Newcastle artists Rosie Larada and Jacob Garvey join the bill as special guests.

Henderson’s music combines heartfelt songwriting and soulful vocals with the drive of modern British indie rock. Performing with his band, the Newcastle singer-songwriter has built his live reputation around direct melodies, energetic arrangements and songs designed to connect quickly with a crowd.

Most recently, Henderson released “Runaway” on 7 August. The single pushes forward on lively drums, melodic bass and warm acoustic guitar, while his vocal remains at the centre of the track. Consequently, this hometown headline date arrives at an ideal moment to hear how that new material translates to the stage.

Newcastle support from Rosie Larada and Jacob Garvey

First, Rosie Larada brings a solo project shaped by pop, soul and jazz influences. After five years fronting Newcastle indie-soul band The Redroom, she stepped out under her own name with “Better Off”, pairing sharp lyricism with an expressive vocal approach.

Meanwhile, Newcastle indie artist Jacob Garvey adds another emerging local voice to the evening. His 2026 single “Goldmine” offers a useful introduction before the show and gives the support bill another strand of homegrown songwriting.

Together, Henderson, Larada and Garvey make this more than a standalone headline set. Instead, the evening presents three Newcastle artists at different points in their development, with the city’s current songwriting talent placed firmly at the centre.
