Eddie Doyle is a Newcastle-based experimental artist whose self-described post-Catholic post-rock pulls together electronic music, trip-hop, art-rock and ambient textures. Her work combines emotive vocals with a confrontational vulnerability, using an eclectic palette rather than settling into one conventional rock or singer-songwriter lane.
Recent development has included support from Youth Music and North East artist-development programmes, alongside live appearances around Newcastle. That backing has helped Doyle shape a sound built around electronic detail, post-rock dynamics and introspective writing without sanding away the stranger edges.
Newcastle remains the base for the project and an important part of its growth, with grassroots performances giving the material room to develop in front of audiences while the recorded catalogue continues to take shape.
