Kraken Waker are a Newcastle upon Tyne three-piece built around heavy riffs, grooves and hooks. The band describe themselves as a loud North East outfit, with their music sitting across heavy rock, groove and riff-driven territory.
They won Newcastle’s Metal to the Masses competition in 2024 and went on to perform on Bloodstock’s New Blood stage that summer. Their debut album Be Good followed on 4 October 2024, featuring ten tracks including “Loan Shark Business Park”, “Space Bastard” and “How the Wheel Rolls”.
The band’s line-up is Siy ‘Uber’ Brady on guitar and vocals, Andrew Scully on drums and vocals, and Gav Sutherland on bass and vocals. Kraken Waker continue to appear across the North East live circuit and beyond.
