The Main Line and Darlington rhythm and blues

The Main Line are a Darlington rhythm and blues band built around a love of the raw British R&B sound associated with acts such as Dr Feelgood and The Pirates. The group have developed through regular North East gigs, festival appearances and support slots, keeping their sound rooted in live performance rather than polished studio gloss.

The band released their debut album Cobalt Blue in 2024. The record helped push them beyond the local circuit and spent time on the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association chart later that year. Alongside original material, their sets draw on sharp-edged rhythm and blues, rock and roll and the kind of direct live sound that works equally well in smaller venues and on festival stages.

Men Of A Certain Age

For 2026, The Main Line return to The Forum Music Centre in Darlington for the launch of their album Men Of A Certain Age. It is a fitting setting for the band, who have played around Darlington and the wider North East for several years. The Forum date also brings special guests Jonny & The Rizlas, giving the launch a proper local-show feel rather than treating it as a one-off industry event.
