Shuggy Reeve is a North East-based performer whose live sets move through blues, rhythm and blues, soul and roots rock. The repertoire draws on several generations of artists, from B.B. King, Howlin’ Wolf and Freddie King to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
The set also reaches beyond straight blues, with material associated with Stax, Little Feat, Nick Lowe, the Faces and Fleetwood Mac bringing soul, rock and more relaxed grooves into the mix. That gives Reeve’s shows room to shift between sharper electric passages and looser arrangements without losing their blues foundation.
Regional performances have included dates in Ovingham and Newcastle. In October 2026, Shuggy Reeve leads a Cluny 2 fundraiser supporting Age UK North Tyneside, combining a local charity focus with a set rooted in classic blues and soul.
