Sheffield metal heavyweights Malevolence will bring their United Kingdom of Chaos ’27 tour to NX Newcastle on Sunday 14 February 2027, with Guilt Trip and Bodyweb joining them for the show.

The date is part of a UK and Ireland headline run that takes the band to cities including Liverpool, Cardiff, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Dublin before finishing in their hometown of Sheffield. Newcastle gets the three-band bill on a Sunday night, with doors opening at 7pm.

Malevolence return with their heaviest material

Malevolence built their reputation through years of uncompromising live shows, mixing hardcore aggression with metal riffs and a determination to do things their own way. Their fourth studio album, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, reached number 32 on the UK albums chart in 2025, marking the band’s first UK Top 40 album.

Recorded in California at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606, the album was made with Grammy-winning producer Josh Wilbur, who has worked with Lamb of God, Gojira and Trivium. The sessions used the studio’s Neve 8078 console, while the band retained the heavy sound that has made them a fixture on UK metal bills.

In 2026, Malevolence took their live show to the United States alongside Guilt Trip and appeared at Slam Dunk Festival. They also worked with Blizzard Entertainment on the World of Warcraft: Midnight track ‘Twelve To Midnight’, written and recorded in twelve hours, and released ‘Silhouette’ independently through their own MLVLTD Music imprint.

Who’s playing at NX Newcastle?

Malevolence comprise Alex Taylor (vocals), Konan Hall (guitar and vocals), Josh Baines (guitar), Wilkie Robinson (bass) and Charlie Thorpe (drums). Their music draws on metallic hardcore, groove metal and the unmistakable weight of the Sheffield heavy scene.

They’ll be supported by Guilt Trip, the Manchester hardcore band, and Bodyweb, a Leeds-based heavy act. Both supports are on the Newcastle bill, making this a three-band show centred on British heavy music.
