Yard Act Bring 2026 UK Tour to NX Newcastle

Yard Act Newcastle brings the Leeds band to NX on Tuesday 10 November 2026, with Lava La Rue joining the bill. The show lands near the start of a substantial UK run and follows the release of You’re Gonna Need A Little Music, giving the Newcastle date a clear place in the band’s current chapter rather than simply another stop on an older catalogue tour.

Yard Act Newcastle arrives early in the UK tour

The Newcastle show is the third date of Yard Act’s 2026 UK run, following two nights at O2 Academy Leeds. From NX, the tour moves on to Glasgow, Sheffield, Manchester and a long list of venues around the country before finishing at O2 Academy Brixton later in November. That timing should make Newcastle one of the first places outside the band’s home city to hear how the newest material has settled into the live set.

Yard Act’s official site now puts You’re Gonna Need A Little Music at the centre of the band’s current activity. The record follows the increasingly ambitious direction that has taken the group beyond the clipped spoken-word post-punk of their earliest releases, while James Smith’s writing still gives the songs their recognisable narrative edge. In a room the size of NX, those shifts between rhythm, detail and bigger choruses should have plenty of space to land.

Lava La Rue adds another reason to arrive early. Their genre-blurring approach pulls together alternative pop, hip-hop and guitar music, which makes the support slot more than a like-for-like pairing. It also gives the bill a wider musical shape before Yard Act take over for the headline set.
