Rapidly solidifying their status as one of the UK’s most electrifying independent acts, North East indie-alternative six-piece Polyvinyl have announced the official music video release for their fan-favorite epic, Snow & Ash, arriving 19th June 2026.
The release marks the highly anticipated unveiling of Chapter One of Where This Ends – the band’s self-produced narrative short film. Committed to their “music as an experience” ethos, Polyvinyl are expanding their universe by releasing a new music video every three weeks, with the next installment, Underground Girl, already locked in for 10th July 2026.
The visual launch follows a staggering wave of momentum for the band. Their sophomore concept EP (also titled Where This Ends) has exploded across streaming platforms, rapidly amassing nearly 60,000 streams since its May release. While listeners are already intimately familiar with Snow & Ash as the EP’s opening track, this campaign marks the definitive arrival of its cinematic counterpart alongside the Full Version ( 5:29).
“To us, the song is sung directly towards the mushroom cloud of a nuclear blast,” explains lead vocalist Annabelle. “It represents an instantaneous, life-altering trauma that completely reshapes reality. Visually, this video sets the stage somewhere that you may not expect. We want the audience to feel the world they’re in from the very first frame.”
To match the track’s immense sonic scale, Polyvinyl reunited with an elite engineering team:
- Production: Lisa Murphy (Lizzie Esau, DuBlonde)
- Mixing: Paul Gregory (Mercury Prize Nominee, Lanterns on the Lake)
- Mastering: Katie Tavini (We Are Scientists, Bloc Party)
Backed by a publishing deal with Wipe Out Music, Polyvinyl’s theatrical ambition is drawing heavy industry praise, earning airplay and support from Amazing Radio, Fresh on the Net, and BBC Introducing. Fresh off a monumental, sold-out hometown launch show, the band are bringing their live show to the summer festival circuit, with imminent appearances at Kendal Calling, Front Row Festival, and Last Train Home.
The official music video and Full Version of Snow & Ash will be available worldwide on 19th June 2026.
