Table Of Content
The Ouseburn date arrives as Little Barrie continue the next chapter of a career stretching back more than two decades, with latest album Gravity Freeze following 2025’s Electric War.
Little Barrie at The Cluny
Led by guitarist and vocalist Barrie Cadogan with bassist Lewis Wharton, Little Barrie returned to work after the death of drummer Virgil Howe and later began collaborating with Malcolm Catto of The Heliocentrics. The band’s recent material pushes further into blues, soul and psychedelic rock while keeping the lean grooves that have long defined their sound.
Gravity Freeze began taking shape in late 2023 and was recorded at Rat Salad Studios in North London. The record also arrived during a period in which Cadogan continued high-profile touring and session work with artists including Liam Gallagher and John Squire, The Black Keys and THE THE.
Edgar Jones supports Little Barrie in Newcastle
Liverpool musician Edgar Jones opens the night. Best known for fronting The Stairs, Jones has also worked across garage rock, blues, psychedelic soul and jazz, giving the support slot a natural fit with Little Barrie’s own wide-ranging influences.
